Adored


This beautiful hand carved frame appears to hold a mirror
when in reality it is empty.




The purpose of the frame was to
surround the figure of the mistress
 as she made her way down the staircase
to her husband below.

How simply romantic. 

And that would so never happen here.
I married an engineer.
He is simply so practical.

My daughter has been dating an engineer for 5 years now. He visited her while she studied abroad in Italy and simply couldn't STAND how all those marvelously old buildings with such character....were so old and outdated, haha. I'm really not sure how she puts up with that :)
