I like how minimalistic it is, yet very effective. I think it's because of the yellow feathers, against the beige background. Wonderful!

He definitely has on his spring mating clothes. Even though our weather here in Texas is much, much warmer than yours, our goldfinches also just started sporting their their spring duds within the past couple of weeks.

how beautiful! i just saw one out my window here in ne tx this morning that was VERY yellow, too. we've got them hanging here much longer this winter/spring. usually we see their drab traveling khakis only. :)
