Just Another Day

I heard some clatter.
I opened the door.
A squirrel ran in.
He hid under the couch.
I devised a plan.
I made him an exit.
But he wanted to take a nap.
So we both took a nap.

The Oblivious Dog Among the Squirrel Clutter

Four hours later,
my son came home.
He lifted the couch.
The squirrel took a run round the house.
Nowhere to be found:
Not here, not there.
We decided he jumped out the window.
Life returned to normal.

The Offender Behind the Couch

 Until.....
chirpy-chirp noises were heard
some 5 hours later.
We devised a new plan.
Opened the door.
Blocked other paths.
Moved his hiding cover
and saw him run out the door.

The end of just another day.

I didn't visit any blogs yesterday
as I was otherwise engaged
as I had an unexpected guest.

He looks cute and scarred :) Thankfully (for you and him), the little guy made it out.

laughed all the way through your squirrel tale... so funny and the shot of the dog on the sofa has me ROFL... the squirrel was lucky he did not end up in our house.. Jake would NOT be on the sofa. I love the shot of the squirrel... so happy for him and you he found the exit.

I enjoy watching squirrels - but outdoors! (and yes, behind OTHER people's couches they are rather funny, too) ... :)

Now that's a squirrel tale for sure! Super cute little guy, so happy he found his way back outside.

Funny story! :-) I'm glad it turned out well. I can laugh because it didn't come in my house. I can only imagine what my two cats would have done.

It's cute all huddled up there, but I know what damage they can do, good thing it left

This is just adorable! The photos and the story! I would have been standing on the kitchen table scared to death but you just took it all in stride. The dog didn't go nuts? Glad you got him out of there but he is a cutie!
