The Best Gift at Christmas...Time Together

I love when our family can get together.
It doesn't happen often since
we have a Sailor Boy in the family.
He and his wife, Teacher Girl, live in another state.

Nurse Girl, Law Enforcement Boy, Soccer Boy, Sailor Boy, Teacher Girl
and the dog, Nittany.

Combine that with
Law Enforcement Boy and Nurse Girl
who both work 12 hour nightshifts,
it is hard to get everyone all together.
But we managed to find a 4 hour window over the holidays.

And since Sailor Boy only had a 36 hour window off base...
he and Teacher Girl drove here separately.
This created a unique opportunity...
a Honda family photo.
We all drive Hondas.
We bought our first one in 1999
and haven't looked at anything else since then.

Representing 689,000 miles of driving

We are also anticipating someone new in 2015...

C is for Cannoli

A little cannoli is on the way.
(Daddy is Italian.)

PSU Slippers

and Little Cannoli's parents both went to Penn State.

I can't wait for next Christmas!
Not that I want to be old enough to be a Grandma
but since I can't do anything about that age thing -
I might as well have fun with little grandbabies.

RIP Officer Rafael Ramos who will be buried today.

How great that everyone could be together! Love the Honda shot, too funny!
And congrats on the newest impending arrival! My mom tells folks she had my sister when she was 12 when they say how can she be a grandmother (-:

Such a beautiful and honorable family, all serving others but finding time to be together! Wonderful news about the new little one - so exciting! I will be a new Grandmother next year, too, for the first time. I love that you all drive Honda's! So fun! So glad you all were able to be together to celebrate the holiday. Hope your New Year is full of wonderful blessings. xo Karen

Happy New Year, Becky! How wonderful to have all your family home for Christmas. Those tiny slippers are just toooo cute! My New Year's resolution is to return to blogland so I hope to be a more frequent visitor in the coming year.

I am glad you got to have your family together. I missed that this year and you are completely right, it is the most important part. Enjoy being a Grandma, I know my Mum loves it. I hope you have a wonderful new year.

So glad you managed to gather your brood around you for Christmas. And next year there will be a baby as well! I always get as excited about impending grandparenthood as I do about parenthood. One of life's best rewards. Love the family portraits. And that's the best advert for Honda I've ever seen!!
Happy New Year, Rebecca.
