Hope Lodge Re enactment

Nearby, at historic Hope Lodge
in Ft Washington, PA,
is an annual Revolutionary War Encampment.

Re enactors of all ages participate.

Some sleep overnight in period style tents.
They must be very brave.  :)

They even demo a skirmish.

And a big canon blast.

There was plenty of red and blue
to celebrate the day.

Some of the re-enactors participated in our church service at St. Thomas Sunday morning. Our pastor even dressed in colonial garb. The little boy sitting in the pew in front of me was so cute wearing his period costume.

Excellent series of shots Rebecca!
I love the older lady in her blue knit cap.
You certainly captured her essence and the feel of the day with these shots.

Isn't it a little cold in your area for sleeping in tents? Now that is real dedication.

Her blue hat looks pretty cozy. I'd like to have seen the skirmish.
