I Have Sinned

I love vintage.

I love rust.

I love peeling paint.

I hate 'No Trespassing' signs.
Hate them.
They are such killjoys.

And, this post,
well, it is not a confession.

But the beauty behind those signs is irresistible.

Completely irresistible.

In fact,
those signs are more like invitations.

"Shhhh, who said 'No Trespassing?'
I have something really awesome for you to see."

"Come inside,
you won't be caught.
You'll have some fun."

I think it was really a 'No Trespassing' sign,
not a serpent, in the Garden of Eden.

In which case,
I have sinned.
Blame it on the sign.

This property is about to be torn down
and with cheap new homes going in it's place.
:(

What a great collection of shots! I just LOVE the one with the blue house and sky through the window next to the exposed brick. You're braver than I am...I'm such a darn rule follower, I would have never dared. Look what I would have missed!!

This is one of those spirit of the law verses letter of the law times. Your spirit was curiosity rather than ill intentioned. Glad you could enjoy the sites! Lovely.

really great shots this week - I'm not a fan of those things surrounding me - but like you, love to capture them!

These are fantastic! Love the stairwell, and I also love the shot of the torn room with the clear look outside!

Wow, what a great banister, the new one will not have anything like that quality. I need an abandoned building fix

I always try to imagine who lived in these vacant homes and think of all the birthdays, holidays and celebrations along with wondering who picked the colors .Sad to see them let go. It doesn't look real old.

I love these photos and am so glad you went and took them. I am always a bit of a coward when it comes to looking for ways to actually get inside the buildings.
