I submit to you that if a man hasn't discovered
something he will die for,
he isn't fit to live.

Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
Martin Luther King Jr., Letter from Birmingham Jail, April 16, 1963
Sometimes I wonder,
if anyone ever stops to listen to what the man said.
Or, if in our sincere ignorance,
our collective conscientious stupidity
has put other words in the man's mouth.

Such a good question. My class has been studying these quotes and what they mean today. Great words we should head more.
I love to see the places you visit! Great shots!
Good Morning, Rebecca
Dr. King's words and life had a huge impact the course of history in your country and his influence extended beyond it to mine.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful photographs at Sunlit Sunday and for honouring the crucial work and memory of Dr. King.

Bonjour Rebecca!
Wonderful pictures in so lovely winter mood today. The first one is amazing with the moon detail, bravo! I'm also enchanted by the others compositions, you did it very well!

When one offers quotes from some of his speeches it is good to know his spirit is still alive with many.
Beautiful post, Rebecca!
Gorgeous scenery and photos. Well done! Have a happy week!
Terrific post and great shots. Nicely done. Aloha
Nice shots!
These are beautiful!
Thank you for sharing some of Dr. King's quotes. It's so easy to just remember him for certain words and not the depth of many others. Your shots are just awesome. I always enjoy seeing where you are being led to photograph....
Love the bridge.
Your photos are so beautiful and the quotes are moving. As a black man who was born in the 60's I'm very thankful to MLK. He help make this country a better place even though I think our country has gone downhill in other areas.
should be helped make not help make. :-)
That icicle bridge is so neat.
