Love it. I was always fascinated by sneakers hanging by the wires!

I have heard that is a sign to rival gangs of violence against a gang member. Hope Dean is OK.
Great shot of city culture.

That's a great shot! We've had several shoes over the lines in my small town before.

Oooh! Nice shot! there's a wire near where I walk....started with one pair, I think it's up to four or five now. Always makes me chuckle. And I have a few shots, but never thought of the black and white option....hmmm! Thanks so much for linking up!

I wonder if he has an extra pair at home...?

I always wonder what the point of this is. Great image. Somewhere up north I have driven past a shoe tree, next time I see it I must stop and get some photos.

Wondered if there was a significance to doing this

Now that is a sight I see often around here to. I wonder how many times it takes to get them up there?

In Bristol (UK) there is a shoe tree... it is absolutely covered in them. A strange but somehow cool urban phenomenon

Neat shot. It does make you wonder what they are there for & why. I've heard about the "gang" thing and also that "drugs" are sold in places where the shoes hang near.
