Suburban Girls Goes To Market, To Market...

...we didn't buy a fat big.
We did buy some pig though:
chops, german sausages...
:(

It's what you do when you are married to a foodie.
When he is in foodie heaven
you just say,
"I think you should buy it dear."

Kalamata Olive Bread was Delicious

This was our first trip to the particular market.
So we had to make the rounds and case it out first.

I'll Buy My Greek and Italian from Philly, thank-you very much.

There were butchers galore.
Any kind of butcher you'd like.

German Butcher

I don't even like German food -
but "I think you should buy it dear."

Pretty Roots

We met up with family and had lunch together from the various food stands.

A Bargain - I'll Pass

It was a morning adventure
in foodie heaven if you are a foodie
with a lovely wife who says,
"I think you should buy it dear."

Decisions, Decisions

Now, if I could just get my foodie to say that to me
when I am shopping.
That would be heaven for me.

I'm on a crab cake sandwich kick these days. I'm impressed with how many places offer good ones these days. This Farmer's market would be a nice trip on the motorcycle, should Spring every decide to make an appearance.

Ah, the Fairgrounds Mall Market? You were in my old stomping ground. I was a weekly regular. There is an Italian stand there that sells wonderful cheeses, and the little man who runs it will give you sample, after sample, after sample. I was always full after leaving his stand. BUT..smart guy...I bought pretty much everything I ate, haha. There is also a German stand there that sells potato salad EXACTLY how my grandmom use to make it. It is the ONLY place I've found it prepared to her specifications. I would buy tubs of it whenever we had family get-togethers. Hope you enjoyed yourself :)

P.S. Salino's is "okay". I'm kicking myself trying to remember the other Italian stand. Anyway, I hope you found it :)

I like your farmers market better than either one of ours... I would love to be a foodie with your foodie...

Maybe he will get the hint eventually. Start small and work your way up.

Oh my... a haircut for $10?? I pay five times as much (no bragging)! But then, it keeps its shape for about 4 months:)

I love this, it's such a great post. It made me smile :-) Yep, it makes complete sense to feature this post on our Pinterest board :-D.
