Wild Banks

A Wild Burst of Sunshine

The house next door
has one of those headache banks.
The hill that leads down to the road
is steep.

A Wild Sweet Delight

The previous neighbor fought with that bank
until she finally surrendered.
The bank won.

Wild Spills Over

The new neighbors...
full of youthful energy,
seem to be winning the battle.

Wild Reaching

They planted wildflower seeds all along the bank.
It is gorgeous.

Wild Poppy

It kind of makes me want a wild bank too -
that and the wild youthfulness to go with it.

LOL, you and me both! My rock garden is on a bank (about a 10 foot drop) and we keep adding larger flat rocks to fill up space when plants die off. I told my husband I could paint flowers on the rocks and it would be easy care for sure.
Enjoy your day!

A brilliant idea and it's paying off!

What a great idea to control the wash of the soil. We have a sloping side yard that will soon be remedied to some extent, I hope.

Perfect summer images, and so beautiful. Love the play of dark and light in the first image, and the beautiful background in the second. The last image just makes me smile.

Gorgeous! Yes, to a wildflower garden!

Wildflowers are so carefree (even if the gardeners don't think so!). Sometimes you just have to let them be. Your captures are really great.

Oh wow, Rebecca...gorgeous photos! Your post gave me a great idea for a steep hill at the lake house. It's a challenge to mow, wildflowers might just be the answer.

Wild flowers are beautiful anywhere, and if they attract the little creatures as well so much the better.
