Ambler: The Little Town that Could

Ambler, PA-5557
Table for Two, Bridgette's, Ambler, PA

There was a time when
I had no interest in Ambler -
the suburban town near where I live.
That was 1991.

But somewhere between 1991 and today
Ambler re-invented itself.

and food...
lots of food
and wine.

And now Ambler is quite a hot little spot
in the Philly suburban scene.

It's a town that has successfully reinvented itself.
Today, you'll find me there pretty much weekly.

I love it when small towns reinvent themselves and it looks like Ambler has done a great job with its rebirth...I love the shot of the train station. It looks like something out of Dept 56 at Christmas time....

It certainly looks like a town I'd like to visit.

Our little town of Fredericksburg has done much the same in attracting tourists and creating a wonderful, happy atmosphere. Good for Ambler.

The same thing happened to our town in the early 90's. The mall opened in the late 80's and killed downtown for a while, but one man's vision and money revived our downtown and in turn killed the mall. We are so much better off because of this man.

Fantastic photos. I'm terrible at nighttime photography but it looks like you have perfected it. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! :)

This looks like a fun little suburb. I know what you mean. Our city is evolving more and more each year. Our area has gone from dullsville to film studio haven. Lots of fun things happening around here due to The Walking Dead being filmed 15 minutes from my house. Now we have Pinewood Studios and lots of happenings. Love these shots!
